Meet Haley
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Online Therapy for Adults
Hi, I’m Haley — a therapist who works with thoughtful and creative adults navigating burnout, anxiety, chronic illness, and complex relationships. My clients are often the ones who’ve held it all together for others, but lately, something’s shifted. They’re tired. Disconnected. Not sure what’s wrong, but clear they can’t keep going like this.
My approach blends deep listening with curious, grounded questions, genuine concern, directness, and a healthy dose of humor when it’s called for. I meet clients where they are, and we work side by side. Therapy with me is about steady steps toward change, not rushing or stalling, but moving at a pace that lets us hear what your mind and body are really trying to say.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in project management and tech. The long commutes and the pressure to treat everything like an emergency left me drained. I wandered for a bit, through temp jobs, then grant writing, eventually finding my way to a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina.
I spent the first 12 years of my career supporting clients in community mental health centers and rural areas, with a primary focus on PTSD, survivors of crime, and children in foster care. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches like DBT, CPT, ERP, and ACT. These frameworks offer powerful tools, and I draw from them often, but I don’t practice formulaic therapy. I adapt these methods to each client’s unique situation, pace, and goals.
In 2020 I found my way back in the digital space, working for a mental health tech startup. Telehealth transformed how I work, and expanded who I work with. My practice now includes many high-achieving professionals who travel often or work demanding, high-pressure jobs. I’ve also noticed a deep connection with adult children of immigrants and others navigating tension between how they grew up and how they live now.
In my private practice, I offer therapy across several states: New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky. I exclusively practice online because working from home changed my life. It helped me recover from burnout and manage a chronic health condition with better sleep, nutrition, and a daily meditation practice. I know how hard it can be to build healthier habits to reduce the symptoms of illness. You don’t have to meditate or or give up anything delicious to work with me. I just share this to say: I do my own work. I value walking the walk.
It’s not about fixing everything at once. It’s about starting where you are and seeing what becomes possible from there.
